How many icons can I have?

The number of icons you may have depends on your account level:

OpenID accounts may have 15
Free accounts may have 15
Paid accounts may have 150
Premium Paid and Seed Accounts may have 300

If you have a paid, premium paid, or seed account, you may purchase additional icon slots in the Dreamwidth Shop. These extra icon slots do not expire as long as your paid account is active. You may purchase up to 500 slots. If you revert to a free account, these bonus icon slots are disabled until your account becomes paid again.

If you have uploaded more than 15 icons and your account's paid time expires, the 15 icons that remain active are the default icon, plus those that have been used most often in entries to that account's personal journal. Icon use in comments to your journal, comments to other journals, and comments or posts in communities are not counted for determining most used icons. If fewer than 15 entries have been posted in the journal, or fewer than 15 icons have been used on that journal's entries, the expiration script will make up the difference using the icons that were first uploaded to that account.
